Letters Rogatory are the customary means of obtaining judicial assistance from overseas in the absence of a treaty or other agreement. They are transmitted through diplomatic channels to the foreign government, which then directs them to the appropriate foreign court. All Letters Rogatory and accompanying documents m ust be translated into the official language of the foreign country.
