Hague Convention Service

LSP Legal can assist you with serving your initial pleadings abroad in compliance with the Hague Convention on Service Abroad of Judicial and Extra judicial Documents in Civil or Commercial Matters.

Countries members of the Hague Service Convention require that requests for service are made by attorneys or court officials through the Hague Central Authority of each country. For the service to be processed without delays, the Hague Request must be accompanied by the initial pleadings filed in the court of origin along with the corresponding proper translations, if the official language of the receiving country is different from English. Service of Process under the Hague Service Convention can be a lengthy process. Some countries are expeditious, however, there are countries that take up to a year or more to effect service. Connect with us for more information about service abroad and their timelines.
